Calibre — AI Recruitment Automation

Calibre

Calibre is building an AI recruitment automation system for specialist headhunting agencies — starting with its own desks in commodities, maritime, risk analytics, and finance.

This site is the full record of what’s being built, why, how it works, and where it stands today.

Engine map — current build state

The engine map (2026-06-12) is the single-pager view of every sub-step in the matching engine: what each does, which plan covers it, status, and tasks needed to ship. Open it in a new tab when working on the engine — it stays aligned with SOURCE-OF-TRUTH.md §4 build state.

What Calibre is

Calibr:e Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based specialist headhunting agency. The system on this site automates the slowest, most error-prone parts of their work:

  • Sourcing candidates from public sources
  • Matching CVs against job descriptions using both AI inference and Calibre’s own recruiter heuristics
  • Producing a four-bucket shortlist (Strong yes · Soft yes · Soft no · Strong no)
  • Sending personalised outreach across email and LinkedIn

It is not a generic ATS, not a sourcing tool you buy off the shelf, and not “AI replaces recruiters”. Recruiters at Calibre encode their rules; the system enforces them at scale and surfaces context a recruiter would otherwise miss.

The system is built so it can also be sold to other specialist agencies — that’s a grant requirement of the EnterpriseSG EDG funding that supports the project.

What changes when it ships

For Calibre’s own desk operations:

TodayAfter ship
Time from JD intake to shortlist takes daysHours
Candidates evaluated per recruiter per week: dozensHundreds (3–5× current)
Outreach quality varies by recruiter loadPersonalised, evidence-grounded, every time
Recruiter intuition lives in headsCodified, ratified, and applied uniformly

For other recruitment agencies (productisation, ships in Step 10):

A multi-tenant SaaS surface — signup, Stripe billing (test mode acceptable for the EnterpriseSG audit), onboarding, per-tenant rubric configuration, per-tenant tone guides. At least one fictional demo agency tenant ships alongside Calibre’s own tenant to defend the “marketable to other agencies” claim.

This site is generated deterministically from the workspace files. Every page carries a Source: <file> footer naming the workspace file it came from and the timestamp of the last sync. There’s no hand-edited drift. When a workspace file changes, the next sync re-renders the corresponding page.

Confidential material — candidate CVs, full job descriptions, commercial agreements, personal data — never appears on this site. A fail-closed classifier decides what publishes; unrecognised files default to “do not publish”.

This site is access-gated by Cloudflare Zero Trust. Every view is logged.
